    Some of the biggest online threats include phishing websites, malware downloads, scam websites, malicious browser extensions, fake advertisements, and attempts to steal login credentials or session cookies. These attacks often rely on tricking users rather than breaking through technical security measures. For example, a phishing email may encourage someone to click a fake banking website, while a malicious download may pretend to be a software update.

    Modern browsers help reduce these risks by warning users about known dangerous websites, blocking suspicious downloads, enforcing secure HTTPS connections, and isolating website processes through sandboxing. Even so, attackers constantly develop new techniques, and some threats appear before browsers can recognize them. Staying alert, keeping software updated, and thinking carefully before clicking links or downloading files remain some of the most effective ways to browse safely.
